This is what taking the holiness out of church is doing to it. Take out the reverence to make people more comfortable. Take out the organ and choir to make people more comfortable. Take out the liturgy (OK, I'm Lutheran) to make people more comfortable.

Church shouldn't be comfortable! It is a place to hear you are a sinner and cannot do anything to help yourself. You are to be in awe of God who saves you. Not sitting in front of your computer in your jammies eating Cherrios while you worship.

I believe as the last days race towards us,the true church is increasingly going "underground".Those who love and reverence the Lord and His word are tired of hearing Him misrepresented and His word twisted beyond rcognition. The reality is that many "churches" that ignore the ten commandments have added an eleventh "Thou must be in church on Sunday" and the twelveth is like it "Thou must bring your tithe"

I think a God fearing church on line would be ideal since I work 3rd shift with mandatory overtime and rarely get a day or two off in a row. And since I sleep (as it is dangerous to drive when you work 14 hour days) it is difficult to get to church on Sunday mornings. Sorry if this goes against the grain of others.

While I would never be willing to replace my physical church with something like this, an online service could be worth looking into. I need more church in my life and more Christian support. I may look into joining especially since my church does not offer Sunday night or Wednesday services.

How convenient is this? Wow, now you never have to miss what you would rather be doing on Sunday morning. You do your carnal thing on Sunday morning and get your 'church thing' on when ever it is more convenient. After all, it's not like God left His glory and came to earth suffering the weight of the world's sin and died a devastating death to save our souls or anything... Hey, it's all about my worldliness anyway. I am the center of the universe. Joel and Rick said so... ;-))

Able-bodied people should be in church on Sunday morning. The Bible says where your heart is there your treasure is found. If your heart and your backside are on the golfcourse instead of in church...something may be wrong. Examine yourself to see if your are in the faith.

T. www.truthinator.wordpress.com
