Here is the letter I just sent to both my senators. I have written them numerous times and will continue to write them over and over again and encourage others to do the same. We MUST do all we can to stop this train wreck from happening!
“I am very disappointed in your vote Saturday evening on health care reform. This bill is TOO massive, TOO expensive, and forces people of conscience to pay for abortions…all under the guise of family planning. The bill is laden with all kinds of regulations which will actually reduce the quality of health care in this country. The government can't run anything efficiently…not the Post Office, the VA, Social Security, Medicaid/Medicare. All have been and continue to be huge sink holes for government waste and inefficiency. The near trillion dollars this plan will cost will surely bankrupt our already failing economy. How irresponsible of you to support such bill at this time of economic crisis. What happened to concern about the national deficit?! You are robbing our children of their future and enslaving them to total dependence on government funded programs. Whatever happened to freedom….What ever happened to freedom from the tyranny of a big federal government? What happened to respect for life….all life…from the unborn baby to the elderly. Under this plan both are easily disposed of…one through 'family planning' and the other through 'end of life' counseling. How disgusting!
We were founded as a republic not a dictatorship. How is it you can ignore the majority of people in this country who do not want government run health care…and do not want to pay for abortion? How is it you can force this health care plan on the American public yet you will be exempt from it yourself? Don't think you are secure. You will face the fury of the voters come election day should you vote this bill into law. We WILL remember how your vote on health care.”
