I findthe atmosphere around this story kind of disturbing the unquestioning acceptance of this girl's story is unnerving to say the least. We don't really know what's going on here and the group Bary is associated with is pretty extreme this could very well end up being another Tawana Brawley or McMartin preschool case. All that being said I am not willing to "circle the wagons" around a possibly mentally disturbed Teen because I don't like Islam or to make political or cultural hay out of it

Remember the word of the Lord. All who live a godly life in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution. You will be hated by ALL men for My Name's sake. They think they will be doing a service to God when they bring you before those in authority. Blessed are those who are persecuted for rightousness for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven.

You have obviously never heard this young lady speak. If so, you would know that there is nothing "rebellious" about her and she has not been allowed to be a typical "teenager". She is very mature and has genuine love and praise for Christ Jesus. What you accuse her of are just not the kind of attributes that would show up as "rebellion", especially against good parents. Do you know these people personally? Do you know for a fact that they have bought her "Christian literature"? Where did you hear this? Even non-"practicing" muslims know better than to devulge that they've given Christian literature to their children. Your post just doesn't ring true.

The Koran states that it is ok to lie to the infidel (any non-Muslim), while Bible makes no provision for bearing “false witness.” (It would seem that the God of the Bible did not want those who claimed his name to bring shame to him by their lies, while Allah did not see this, his servants seen as liars, as a problem.)

Moreover, the Mosque with which they affiliate is known to perpetuate “radical” Islam, so in the preaching of the Islamic scriptures, and how that Mosque sees them, is it possible that her parents are the liars? Is it possible that they would feel some shame with the eyes of many different countries on them? Is it possible that they may want to lie because of that shame, and use that Islamic loop-hole as a means to an end? Is it possible that if this girl is being faithful to her Lord, she is not lying?

Furthermore, this is not the first time that a child has run away from home for fear of abuse, or even the threat to their life. In any other case, social workers are almost chomping at the bit to get children out of their parent’s hands, but in this case we must rush her back? This is not a display of narcissism; it is the outworking of fear.

If you have not read the “P.I.G.” series of books concerning Islam, I would highly recommend it. I personally found it to one of the best researched expositions of this religion and its history. (Mostly because it is stripped of the PC fluff which prohibits any full explanation of truth.)

Take care and God Bless

"Christian" America's fate is being decided by our lack of concern for the life (and all innocent life) of this precious girl. Some polls claim that 80% of this country are "born-again Christians". It seems to me that God keeps a Rifqa Bary or a Terri Schiavo in our "Christian" faces to show us that our polls and His polls don't jive. We "seeker-friendly" (sin tollerant) "Christians" label these situations (legal death warrants) as political issues and assure each other that God understands why we can't get involved. The only thing that we CAN get "involved" in is building a bigger "worship center" with better exercise equipment than the church next door. I recently had to attend a "service" in a local 2,000 member Purpose Driven church. I was actually asked to move because I was sitting in the seat where a couple "always sits". I've heard a bit of concern about how the Fairness Doctrine will force preachers to preach only P.C. sermons or risk being arrested. What a joke! What makes us think we're going to buck the system when it's illeagal?! We don't even do it when we have legal rights to! The American church is already P.C. and to become the State Church we will only need to put her phone numbers in the Blue Pages. I think there's a good chance that the rapture will occur on Sunday morning in America. That 80% may not notice anyone's missing until the following Monday morning. God help us.

We should show Rifqa the compassion and equality of life that our country has presented to the world for many years through our Statue of Liberty. Rifqa deserves the same equality that her parents have to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. We should not bend our form of government to appease those who would change our government to one ruled by Sharia law.

The roads of the Muslims, Pagans, Christians, etc., eventually merge into one, and will end at God’s front door; all roads lead to God! Don’t believe me? It is in the scriptures. So, the question is not, “How do I get to God?” The question is, “Will I be able to stand before God ‘without spot or blemish?’” We either know Jesus to be our Savior, or we will find him to be our Judge.
This young woman, whether she knows it or not, has been one of the greatest examples in modern America of how we are to love the one who first loved us: Jesus the Christ.
Since most men have scurried into the nearest dark hole for fear someone might yell “Bible-Thumper,” it would seem God raised up a 17 year old girl to be the example in their absence; an example of what we should be in the face of real persecution. Praise the Lord!
Jesus’ hyperbolic teaching, recorded in Luke 14:26-27, is displayed in this girl’s ordeal. While running for fear of her life, she said in an interview how she loves her parents and how she harbors no ill feelings toward them; she simply does not want to be a murder victim, to become yet another statistic ignored by the PC crowd.
Let us stand with this sister in the Lord, and let’s pray that her parents come to know the Savior as she has.

I can tell you why, the numbers are not in the Millions of Christians here in the US! The millions are the 'many' who find a road to somewhere other than the TRUTH of who Jesus Christ really is and why He was sent here. The saved Christians who know of this are outraged. Maybe this is an indicator of how many of us there really are out there. We know what this move by the Judiciary means, it means the coming persecution. Christians need to wake up and realize that it's coming to the US and it's already here and being an American Christian does not save you from what is coming. Rifqa is what is to come. I pray for her and I trust the Lord Almighty is with her every step of this walk.

There will be no outrage from the public. This is now a country where men with access to firearms and other weapons to protect the weak & needy, allowed a psychopathic husband & an evil judge to starve a woman to death. Godly men do not possess the will to take action. Oh sure, we'll be told to pray for her and maybe provide funds to hire an attorney to help with her cause, but that's about as far as we'll go.Men live in fear of man's law and its punishments.

Imagine if Charles Martel had been an appeaser of Islam. European history would be very different. We could use more men like him today.
