Crosstalk Today: Emerging Heresy – A Warning

On the Crosstalk Show today Chris Rosebrough, host of the popular program, Fighting for the Faith, will be my guest. He recently attended a conference of emergent leaders like Tony Jones (photo) and Doug Pagitt and will be sharing with listeners about the heresies now being embraced and introduced to young people in the name of Christianity. There are specific hallmarks of these anti-Scriptural teachings that pastors, teachers, parents and students need to be able to identify. The Bible tells us we are to know the enemy’s devices. Today’s program will warn about the latest attacks on the faith once delivered to the saints. Listen live at 2pm Central time at the Crosstalk website. The archived show will be up later.

Listening to this interview with Chris Rosebrough, I was reminded that, like the emergent crowd, adherents of Moral Government Theology teach the following:
“To believe that our salvation was literally purchased with Christ's blood makes God to be vindictive and bloodthirsty.” In addition to this, they believe that God is not omniscient.

Regarding the history and errors of Moral Government Theology, see, e.g.,
